Welcome to Effects Specials!

Greetings lovers of everything "Cinemagical"!  In this blog, I hope to open discussions about current visual and practical effects, offer how-to advice on producing inexpensive yet effective shots, and with any luck, interview many of the artists, designers, and technicians I know about their work in the field.

As always, I welcome feedback and comments.  I'd rather the comments be constructive and offer information rather than venting.  I'll remove "venting" comments so be warned.  In a couple of days, I'll post my thoughts on JURASSIC WORLD since I seem to receive a lot of questions about my reaction to the film.
